I'm starting this post by flashing back in 2008, when I was study in university, I joined the theater club in my university. I remember that moment when I was perform my monologue in front of the audience....wuuu... yes, I did.
When entering university, that was the time where I absolutely open my eyes and my mind widely. I watch the theater show which I never did before, I attend the photo exhibition, I saw wall climbing, I saw many people demonstrate etc. those things was the new thing for me and I felt exited.
Then I decided to join a theater club which named Theater El-na'ma.
I learned so many things in this club, it's not only learn how act but here I leaner about life.
My first project is Monologue. I take that project because I really wanna make my own art creation, and it can happen trough a monologue.
In that time my club make monologue project named " Kisah Akhir Tahun", it consist 7 person with different story, and I was one of them.
I had two expert director, mind director was Mba Ulil, the founder of theater Elnama, and also the best actor in many festival. and the second director was ka Bahtar. my senior in teaather.
I chose the scenario (story) by my self and I decided to play "Ratna Manggali" a Balinese Legend.
After 4 month practiced finally we did the monologue.
Nuptial bad scene, in this part I should play a first nigh moment as a wife with imagination husband. wuuuu.... with that naughty sound.
Crying scene, the hardest scene, I ought to feel the pain of being betrayed by my husband.
One of the hardest scene, in these scene I perform Pendet dence, a traditional dance from Bali.
Calon Arang scene. In monologue, the actress not only act for one character then some times they change to another character. In this story I play two different character as Ratna Manggali and also as Calon Arang.
That all my experience as a art performer. I wish some day I can joint another theater project.
And this month I plan to make an English Drama with my student under the title "Cinderella". Can"t wait to report the progress in this blog.
Special thanks to Theater Elnama, Mba Ulil n Bang Eko Who had received me as their student. and also been so patient in tech me every thing. Save and Sound for both of you.

Acting deals with very delicate emotions.
It is not
putting up a mask.
Each time an actor acts he does not hide;
he exposes
himself.
